 RCG Services Unit was called by ALSTOM GRID BERLIN-PEB for Intervention on the Aluminium Upgrade Project at Kurri Kurri, Australia. Its divided into two Main parts :

-          Installation Supervision and Commissioning of Three New Rectiformers (Transformer, Rectifier, Control Cubicle, with all corresponding instrumentation and protection sensors)

-          Conversion and upgrade of 14 old ACR (automatic current regulation) units (installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning including the controller with all corresponding I/O)

RCG intervention started in September 2010, estimated end of intervention October 2011.

 RCG services unit was called by ALSTOM GRID and granted for supervising the assembly of 1 General Control Board Control Cubicle cabinet, 4 Control Cubicles for Rectifier Group Control cabinets and 4 General Control Board Group cabinet (project: Nalco L2).

Characteristics: 220 kV conversion sub-station comprising 4 groups (1100 DCV – 4 x 2 x 33 kA) + 1 extra G9 group designed to operate simultaneously with the existing 4 groups of Potlines 1 or 2, for power supply to Potline 2.
